This fresh and sharp debut from the biracial writer/actor Jordan Peele (Comedy Central's Key and Peele, Keanu) smartly combines satirical comedy with squirm-inducing horror while taking on 21st century racism. An interracial urban couple (Alison Williams, Girls and Daniel Kaluuya, Siccaro) are on a trip to meet her parents in upstate New York, but the boyfriend is a little nervous about going because her parents (Bradley Whitford and Catherine Keener) don't know yet he's black; she says not to worry. But as soon as they arrive, little clues increasingly unsettle him that they might be racist, or maybe they are just nervous too. It is smart, inventive, funny and creepy.
