BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! This masterful film tells the real life story of a courageous working wife and mother during WW2. Jessica Chastain (The Help, Zero Dark Thirty) gives a truly compelling performance as Antonina Zabinski, a Polish woman who, with her husband Jan (Johan Heldenberg, Broken Circle Breakdown), was honored with the Israeli award of Righteous Among the Nations for their efforts to save Jews during the Holocaust. They owned the Warsaw Zoo in 1939 when Poland was invaded by the Germans, and over the next years she began working with the Resistance to use the Zoo as a way station to help spirit those trapped in the Ghetto to safe places, despite the presence of German soldiers on the property. Director Niki Caro (Whale Rider, MacFarland USA) has made a stirring film that explores the personal cost of heroism.
