In this feature debut, Singaporean filmmaker Kirsten Tan uses her travels as a young woman thru Thailand to tell a touching and entertaining comic drama about a man in the midst of a mid-life crisis. Thana is a once eminent but now burned-out architect whose family life is also unhappy. When he discovers his childhood pet, a now aging Asian elephant, on the street, he buys back the animal, who recognizes their shared song from long ago, and undertakes a journey to return him to his rural family farm to live with his uncle. Along the way he meets a cast of colorful characters who are also drifters past their prime. This is an unpredictable offbeat comic drama.
