Dark, audacious, and uproariously funny, this irreverent screwball comedy is set in the tumult of the unexpected death of the brutal and feared Soviet leader and the resulting power struggle that followed. Adapting a French comic book series, director Armando Iannucci (In the Loop, creator of TVs Veep) has assembled a terrific cast, including Steve Buscemi (as Krushchev), Michael Palin (as Molotov), Jeffrey Tambor (as Malenkov) and Rupert Friend (as Stalin’s son). This timely and hilarious satire follows the chaos of bureaucratic dysfunction and fake news. And the best compliment? The film has been banned in Russia!
