May 22 - 24, 6:00 & 8:15
Based on the memoir by Joseph Joffe and directed by French Canadian filmmaker Christian Duguay, this is a moving drama about two Jewish children who are forced to leave their Paris home and family, and deny their heritage during World War II. Ten year old Joseph and his older brother Roman travel alone, posing as Christians, through Nazi-occupied France to head towards a reunion with other family members in Vichy. But their travels are always one false move from tragedy as they must survive on courage, ingenuity and cunning.
