Delightfully uplifting and magical, this charming sequel to the 1964 Disney classic stars Emily Blunt as the spit-spot nanny who returns 30 years later to the house on Cherry Tree Lane – in the midst of the Great Depression – where recently widowed Michael (Ben Whishaw) lives with his three young children and activist sister Jane (Emily Mortimer). Joined by an optimistic lamplighter (Lin-Manuel Miranda) she helps the family discover the joy and wonder that is missing in their lives, and also introduces them to more eccentric members of her family. Director Rob Marshall (Chicago) has made a heart-felt and nostalgic film with co-stars Meryl Streep, Colin First, Julie Walters, Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury.
