Oct 15 - 17, 5:30 & 7:30
What began as an environmental documentary about Hatidze, one of Europe’s last wild beekeepers who lived in an isolated area with her elderly mother was transformed with the unexpected arrival of a large, unruly family of nomadic Turks who move in next door. This beautiful, memorable and three-time Sundance-winning portrait of an interconnected ecosystem and the clash between sustainability and exploitation was filmed over three years by filmmakers Tamara Kotevska and Ljubomir Stefanov.
