Edie has spent the past decades taking care of her disabled and controlling husband, trapped in a suffocating marriage. After he dies, her daughter wants to move her into an assisted living situation, but Edie has other ideas. At age 85 she decides to reclaim her life and fulfill a bucket list adventure, scaling one of Scotland’s most challenging peaks. She hires a young guide at a local mountaineering shop, who isn’t sure she is up for the task, but despite the generational differences is willing to try and help. British director Simon Hunter directs veteran actor Sheila Hancock (Boy in Striped Pajamas) and Kevin Guthrie (Fantastic Beasts) in a film that inspires hope and optimism for the future.
